This presentation provides an overview and basic training on Peace Corps Manual Section 648: Child Protection.
The Peace Corps Manual (and its component sections) constitutes the authoritative policies governing the operations of the Peace Corps and the responsibilities and conduct of Volunteers and Peace Corps employees.
At the conclusion of this training, staff and Volunteers will understand:
- the requirements of MS 648;
- the various definitions of abuse and exploitation;
- the guidelines on acceptable and unacceptable behavior as outlined in the Child Protection Code of Conduct;
- the role of staff and the Volunteer in protecting children from abuse and exploitation.
